Galataport's kilometre-long promenade is one of the best spots in Istanbul to catch the sunset over the Bosphorus — the sky behind the Asian hills turns amber and the Galata Tower catches the last light. The walk is free and open daily; combine it with dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants or a coffee at one of the outdoor cafés. Quieter on weekday evenings, busy but lively on weekends.
