Grand Bazaar Shopping Tour with Guide
Navigate 4000 shops with a guide who knows which ones haggle and which don't.
The Grand Bazaar is less a single building and more of a neighborhood under a roof, with its own streets, squares, and even mosques. With over 60 covered streets and thousands of shops, it's a world unto itself. The scale is genuinely hard to grasp until you're inside, getting lost in the alleys.
It's a working market, not a museum, so expect a full sensory overload of sights, sounds, and persistent shopkeepers. While famous for gold, carpets, and leather, you can find almost anything here, from tourist trinkets to serious antiques. The energy is constant, fueled by both locals shopping for daily goods and visitors exploring the maze.
Enter through the 'Çarşı Kapısı' gate near the Nuruosmaniye Mosque to avoid the most crowded main entrances and find slightly calmer lanes to start.
Mainly flat stone floors, but the surface can be uneven in places. It is step-free at major gates, but the interior is a dense network of narrow lanes not suitable for standard wheelchairs.

Spice Bazaar
This is the city's main spice market, a covered arcade in Eminönü filled with stalls selling everything from saffron to lokum. It's smaller and more focused than the Grand Bazaar, with a strong scent of herbs and tea in the air.
Süleymaniye Mosque
Süleymaniye Mosque, designed by Mimar Sinan for Suleiman the Magnificent, is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. Its hilltop location offers one of the best views of the Golden Horn.
